how is Kindred Diamonds different from other lab-grown retailers?

Many may not know, but a significant number of lab-grown diamond retailers also deal in mined diamonds. We feel this creates a conflict of interest, hindering the full appreciation of the remarkable innovation behind lab-grown diamonds. Extracting diamonds through mining is ecologically harmful. So when retailers are involved in such practices, it diminishes the environmental good they claim, regardless of their green initiatives.

At Kindred Diamonds, we stand apart. We have no ties to the mined diamond industry, and we're firmly committed to maintaining that stance.

At Kindred Diamonds, ethical sourcing is paramount. We carefully select our suppliers through a rigorous vetting process that examines their labor practices, environmental impact, and sourcing methods. Absolutely! At Kindred Diamonds, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just diamonds. We source our metals from recycled sources, ensuring minimal environmental impact. We prioritize working with suppliers who demonstrate responsible  recycled material usage and we never use "new" gold or platinum. By doing so, we ensure that every component of our jewelry, from the diamond to the setting, aligns with our dedication to preserving the planet and promoting ethical practices.

can I purchase one of your settings without buying a diamond?

We craft our settings exclusively for customers purchasing a center stone from Kindred Diamonds. Every setting is tailored and handcrafted to complement the unique attributes of our center gems, ensuring a high-quality finished piece. As a result, we don't offer stand-alone settings or semi-mounts. If you're interested, we'd be delighted to help you choose the perfect center gem from our collection.

are Kindred Diamonds certified?

Absolutely. Each of Kindred Diamonds' lab diamonds is independently certified by diamond grading labs and bears an inscription corresponding to the number on its laboratory certificate.

ordering and delivery

can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You're welcome to place an order as a guest without creating an account. However, for the convenience of viewing your order history and saving your shopping cart items and payment details for future purchases, we suggest setting up an account. Setting one up is quick and straightforward.

where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at help@kindreddiamonds.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

how do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via help@kindreddiamonds.com, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

can I alter my order?

Yes, you can. Adjustments to your order are possible within 24 hours of placing it. After this period, we may not be able to accommodate changes.

when will my order arrive?

Orders that require shipping within the U.S. are typically delivered within two to three days. Shipping to countries outside of the U.S. may take up to 14 days. Please get in touch with us at help@kindreddiamonds.comif your order hasn’t been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.

how much is shipping?

For orders within the USA, we offer free express shipping always. For orders outside of the USA, shipping costs are calculated based on the destination and will be provided during checkout.

can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to dispatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.

Returns

can I return or exchange an item?

Engagement Rings:

Customers may return their engagement ring within 30 days of the original purchase date. The 30-day return window begins on the date the ring was delivered to the customer. Any returns initiated after the 30-day period will not be accepted.

Other Jewelry:

Customers may return their jewelry within 30 days of the original purchase date. The 30-day return window begins on the date the ring was delivered to the customer. Any returns initiated after the 30-day period will not be accepted.

Return Eligibility:

To be eligible for a return, the jewelry or engagement ring must be in its original, unworn, and unaltered condition. The jewelry must be accompanied by all original documentation, including the sales receipt, certificate of authenticity, and any applicable warranties or guarantees.

Return Process:

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at help@kindreddiamonds.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Once you have received your RMA number, securely package the jewelry, along with all accompanying documentation, and ship it to the address provided by our customer service team. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs and insurance fees associated with the return.

Refunds:

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned engagement ring or jewelry, Kindred Diamonds Inc. will issue a full refund, less any applicable restocking fees, to the original method of payment. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account.

Restocking Fees:

No restocking fees if the item is returned in unused condition.

Exclusions:

Customized or personalized engagement rings or jewelry, such as engraved or bespoke designs, are not eligible for return. This is due to the unique nature of these items and the difficulty in reselling them. Additionally, any jewelry or engagement rings purchased during a promotional sale or with a discount may be subject to a different return policy, as specified at the time of purchase.

Exchanges:

If you wish to exchange your jewelry or engagement ring for a different style or size, please contact our customer service team within the 30-day return window. Exchanges are subject to availability and may require additional payment or refund, depending on the price difference between the original ring and the desired replacement.

my order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. what can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via help@kindreddiamonds.com with the details. We’ll respond within 48 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging with all labels attached.

Misc

do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we do. These are issued electronically by email and each contains a unique reference number. Our gift vouchers are ideal if you’re not sure what to get that special person in your life. Simply buy a gift voucher instead.
